And to further complicate matters, what we’re actually like - the real us - compared to
how we act around other people, particularly at work, is often very different.
And to understand how and why people routinely adjust their behaviour when they’re at work you really need to see both.
However, we found that there was no profiling system available that properly addressed these very important differences.
All the options in existence only generated one personality profile: what people were like naturally with no environmental pressures i.e. at home.
Effectively you had no idea how different someone might be in the workplace. Or how much they might have changed according to circumstances or simply over time. No-one is the same person at forty as they were at twenty. We learn, we grow up, we change.
And because no-one was accounting for this in their personality profiling methods, potentially great people could easily get rejected.
Obviously, as recruitment consultants, we felt that this was a major omission. And the only option was for us to build a system of our own.
Because even though it was important to include other useful
detail in the full report, we knew that most managers rarely want to
wade through pages of personnel information in minutiae.
You can easily compare the two and see how much someone is adapting their behaviour to suit their work environment.
We purposely frame our questions to identify the differences between what people are like naturally, compared to what they're like at work. This then generates the two different profile lines you can see in the report above.
The Primary Profile (highlighted in yellow) charts how people feel they are naturally i.e. when not under outside pressure.
The Environmental Adjustment Profile (highlighted in blue) charts how people are modifying, or flexing, their behaviour when they're at work.
We measure 4 key Traits:
Many will recognise the similarities to DISC and TPI, but we simplified the terms even further, so that anyone can immediately understand what they all mean.

Crucially, what these two profiles show is the extent to which we find we have to flex our behaviour away from what comes naturally to us, when we're at work.
Sometimes we find this easy – and sometimes we can find this stressful. And while occasionally stress can be positive, most of the time it really isn’t.
By analysing the relationship between the two different profiles, Drake P3 creates a uniquely insightful picture of how comfortable we are in our current work environment. And it will identify potentially stressful areas (that often we won’t be aware of) that could adversely affect our performance.

Even if you use other recruitment agencies to source your candidates, you can still use Drake P3 to profile their shortlist of candidates.
In fact, for a great many of our clients, P3 is only occasionally used for recruitment, but is an ongoing part of their management processes.
A typical example would be when deciding who to put together to work as a team on specific projects; and afterwards analysing if the relationships within that group might have caused them to perform together better or worse than expected.
Of course, the benefit when you recruit through Drake International is that you do get Drake P3 for free – but if you just want to use it for its internal personnel management benefits we believe our price list is very reasonable.
Simply click on the button below to get started. After you complete the assessment, you will see a short summary on-screen.
One of our team will then send you a full copy of your Drake P3 Personality Profile for FREE via email.
